DeliverET

Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who We Are

DeliverET is a delivery platform operated by InjeraGo Tech PLC, connecting delivery drivers across Ethiopia.

Contact: support@deliveret.app

2. What Data We Collect

From everyone

  • Phone number (required for account creation)
  • Full name (required for account creation)
  • Location (for delivery task navigation)
  • Delivery history and earnings records
  • Device information (for app functionality)

From drivers, for verification and payment

  • Kebele ID photo
  • Driving licence photo (required for motorcycle, bajaj, car and truck; not required for bicycle)
  • Selfie showing the driver with their vehicle and number plate
  • Vehicle type and number plate
  • Payout account details: Telebirr or CBE Birr number, or bank name, account number and account holder name

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your driver account
  • To send OTP verification codes via SMS
  • To verify a driver's identity, licence and vehicle before approval
  • To assign and track delivery tasks
  • To calculate, record and pay out your earnings
  • To communicate task and payment updates
  • We may send occasional service updates and promotional messages by SMS to registered users. If you do not want these messages, email support@deliveret.app and we will remove you from them.

4. Driver Documents and Payout Details

  • Photos are kept in private storage that is never publicly accessible
  • They are opened only through short-lived signed links generated at the moment of review, so no permanent image address exists
  • Only DeliverET admins and approvers can view them, and only for identity, licence and vehicle verification
  • Payout details are used only to send you your earnings
  • We may ask you to re-upload a document if it is unclear; the previous version is kept alongside the new one for review purposes

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only with:

  • Source apps (Kiray, Afroshop, InjeraGo): your name and location for delivery task coordination
  • Payment processors: transaction references only

Driver documents and payout details are never shared with source apps or customers.

6. Data Retention

  • Active account data: retained while the account is active
  • Driver documents (kebele ID, licence, selfie): retained while the account is active, then destroyed on deletion
  • Payout details: retained while the account is active, then destroyed on deletion
  • Delivery history: retained for 2 years
  • Transaction and earnings records: retained for 7 years
  • Deleted accounts: personal data removed within 7 days of the deletion request

7. Account Deletion

  • Destroyed: your kebele ID, licence and selfie photos, your payout account details, your PIN, and your profile details including name and phone number
  • Retained: completed deliveries and earnings records, with your personal details removed, because they are financial records we must keep
  • Your phone number is released, so you can register again later

8. Your Rights

You can also request deletion directly from the account deletion page.

9. Data Security

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
  • Secure PIN storage (hashed)
  • Row-level security on all database tables
  • Private storage with short-lived signed access for driver documents
  • OTP verification for all account access

Terms of Use

By using DeliverET you agree to these terms. They are written plainly so every driver can understand them.

11. Earnings and the Delivery Fee

  • The amount shown on a task as "Your earnings" is what you earn. It is already your own share. Nothing further is deducted from it.
  • How it works: the customer pays a delivery fee for the task, and you receive your share of that fee. The figure shown as "Your earnings" is that share.
  • Every amount shown in your Earnings screen is also your own share — no commission, fee or deduction is taken from those figures afterwards.
  • The delivery fee is set by the app the task came from (InjeraGo, Afroshop, Kiray) or by DeliverET for direct customer requests. It is not negotiable, and you may not ask the customer for extra money.
  • Cash you collect from a customer for the goods themselves is not your earnings — it is handed over as instructed on the task.

12. Settlement (Getting Paid)

  • Pending means the delivery is complete and the amount shown as your earnings is recorded as owed to you in full, but not yet paid out.
  • Settled means DeliverET has sent the money to your payout account and marked the earning as paid.
  • Your payout details (Telebirr, CBE Birr, or bank account) must be complete and correct before anything can be settled. If they are wrong or missing, your earnings stay pending until you fix them.
  • Settlement schedule: DeliverET will confirm the payout day and frequency to you directly. Until then, no fixed timing is promised on this page.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel earnings that are still pending.

13. Accepting Tasks

  • Accepting a task is a commitment to collect and deliver it.
  • If you cannot do it, release it straight away so another driver can take it. Releasing tasks repeatedly without picking them up may be reviewed by DeliverET.
  • A task you accept but abandon can be returned to the pool or reassigned, and you earn nothing for it. Repeated abandonment can lead to suspension.
  • Do not accept a task you cannot complete — because of distance, load, or time.

14. Account Approval

  • You can only accept tasks once your account is approved.
  • Approval requires a clear kebele ID photo.
  • A driving licence photo is required for motorcycle, bajaj, car and truck. It is not required for a bicycle.
  • A selfie is required showing you together with your vehicle and its number plate, clearly readable. For a bicycle, the selfie must show you with the bicycle.
  • If a photo is unclear, expired, or does not match your details, we may ask you to send it again. Your account stays unapproved until we receive it.

15. Vehicle Type

  • You only receive tasks your registered vehicle can carry. A larger vehicle can also take smaller loads.
  • If you change vehicle, tell us. A new vehicle type may need new documents and re-verification before you receive tasks for it.
  • Delivering with a vehicle other than the one you registered is not allowed.

16. Suspension and Deletion

  • We may suspend an account for false documents, account sharing, repeated abandoned tasks, mistreating customers, taking extra payment, or suspected fraud.
  • A suspended driver cannot accept tasks and cannot sign in.
  • Suspension can be lifted once the issue is resolved. Deletion cannot be undone.
  • Deletion removes your documents, payout details and profile, but earnings and completed delivery records are kept, and pending earnings are still owed to you.
  • You can request deletion from the account deletion page or from the Account screen in the app.

17. Disputes

  • A dispute can be raised by a customer, a partner app, or a driver — about a missing item, a damaged item, a delivery that did not happen, or a payment problem.
  • Raise it by contacting support@deliveret.app with the tracking code. Keep any photos or proof you have.
  • We review the delivery record, photos and messages, and may hold the related earning while we look into it.
  • DeliverET's decision on a dispute is final and applies to all parties.

18. Your Conduct

  • Give accurate documents and details that belong to you.
  • Never share your account, PIN, or phone with anyone else.
  • Do not accept tasks you cannot complete.
  • Treat customers and partner staff respectfully, and follow Ethiopian traffic law.
  • Do not ask for extra payment or handle goods that are illegal or unsafe.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update this page. Continuing to use DeliverET after an update means you accept the new version. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
